Fudgy, rich chocolate brownies with a shiny top and soft center. Easy to make and impossible to resist!
70 g (6 oz) semi-sweet or dark chocolate
100 g (7 tbsp) unsalted butter
2 large eggs
200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
60 g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
25 g (1/4 cup) cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
(Optional) 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line or grease an 8×8-inch pan.
Melt chocolate and butter. Let cool slightly.
Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla until light.
Stir in melted chocolate mixture.
Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt. Fold gently.
Add optional mix-ins.
Pour into pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
Cool fully before slicing.
Don’t overbake! Brownies continue to cook as they cool.
For clean slices, chill and use a sharp warm knife.
Store in an airtight container up to 4 days or freeze.
