These fudgy, chewy brookies combine a rich brownie base with soft chocolate chip cookie dough on top — the ultimate dessert bar for chocolate lovers!
Brownie Layer:
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
Cookie Dough Layer:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
⅓ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.
Make brownie batter: Mix butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, cocoa, flour, and salt. Spread in pan.
Make cookie dough: Cream butter and sugars. Add egg, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt. Stir in chips.
Drop cookie dough over brownie layer. Lightly press in.
Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and set at edges.
Cool completely. Slice and enjoy.
