3 tablespoons yogurt
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
6 cloves garlic (for sauce)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup oil
2 tablespoons cold water
4 pita breads
1 cup lettuce
1 tomato
1/2 cucumber
1/4 red onion
Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix yogurt, oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices in a bowl.
  • Coat chicken with marinade and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Cook chicken in a hot pan for 5–7 minutes per side.
  • Rest and slice the chicken into strips.
  • Blend garlic, salt, oil, lemon juice, and water into a creamy sauce.
  • Warm pita bread.
  • Fill bread with chicken, vegetables, and garlic sauce.
  • Wrap and serve immediately.

Notes
