Mini chocolate cheesecakes decorated as Christmas gnomes with strawberry hats and whipped cream beards.

Ingredients

Crust:
150 g chocolate cookie crumbs
75 g unsalted butter, melted

Filling:
450 g cream cheese, softened
120 g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
120 g sour cream or heavy cream
30 g unsweetened cocoa powder or 100 g melted dark chocolate
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt

Decoration:
Whipped cream
Fresh strawberries, halved
Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Combine cookie crumbs and butter; press into lined muffin pan. Chill.

  • Beat cream cheese until smooth; mix in sugar.

  • Add eggs one at a time, then cream, cocoa or chocolate, vanilla, and salt.

  • Fill crusts and bake at 160°C (325°F) for 18–22 minutes.

  • Cool gradually, then refrigerate.

  • Decorate with whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate chips.

Notes

Decorate shortly before serving for best appearance.
