Soft, fluffy pretzels coated in melted butter and cinnamon sugar for a warm, sweet treat.
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
8 cups water for boiling
1/3 cup baking soda
1/2 cup melted butter for coating
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Activate yeast in warm water with sugar.
Mix in butter, salt, and flour to form dough.
Knead until smooth and let rise 1 hour.
Divide and shape into pretzels.
Dip in baking soda bath.
Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
Brush with butter and coat in cinnamon sugar.
Do not overexpose pretzels to baking soda bath. Serve warm for best texture.
