Classic chocolate brownies with a rich fudgy center and crisp top—perfect for any occasion, from parties to edible gifts.

Ingredients

  • 200g semi-sweet chocolate

  • 120g (½ cup) unsalted butter

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (optional)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.

  • Melt chocolate and butter. Cool slightly.

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, sugars, and vanilla for 2–3 minutes.

  • Stir in melted chocolate mixture.

  • Sift and fold in flour, cocoa, and salt until just combined.

  • Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

  • Cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Add nuts, Oreos, or cream cheese for variations.

  • Store in an airtight container or freeze for up to 2 months.
