These crisp churro donut bites are deep-fried to golden perfection and coated in a sweet cinnamon sugar mix. Perfect for parties, snacks, or cozy desserts with coffee or hot chocolate.

Ingredients

For the Dough:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tbsp melted butter

For Coating:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Neutral oil for frying (canola or vegetable)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.

  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls.

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry bites in small batches for 2–3 minutes until golden.

  • Drain on paper towels.

  • Roll warm bites in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.

  • Serve warm with optional dipping sauces.

Notes

To bake: Place dough balls on a parchment-lined tray, bake at 375°F for 10–12 min, then brush with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
