Tender shredded chicken slow-cooked in a rich barbecue sauce for an easy and comforting meal.

Ingredients

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Lightly grease the crockpot and place chicken inside.
  • Mix barbecue sauce, broth, onion, garlic, sugar, and seasonings.
  • Pour mixture over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  • Remove chicken, shred, and return to crockpot.
  • Stir and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
