Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

  • 6 oz semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease a 12-cup muffin pan.

  • Melt butter and chocolate until smooth; cool slightly.

  • Whisk sugars, eggs, and vanilla until pale and glossy.

  • Stir in melted chocolate mixture.

  • Fold in flour, cocoa, salt, and chocolate chips until just combined.

  • Divide batter into muffin cups, filling ¾ full.

  • Bake 18–20 minutes until centers are set but still fudgy. Cool before serving.
