1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line or grease 8×8-inch pan.
In a bowl, whisk butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Sift in cocoa, flour, and salt. Fold gently to combine.
Add optional mix-ins.
Pour into pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
Cool before slicing.
