Rich, chewy M&M brownies with crisp edges and melty centers, studded with colorful candy for the perfect crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 cup M&M candies (¾ cup in batter, ¼ cup on top)

  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment and grease lightly.

  • Melt butter and stir in sugar until glossy. Let cool 5 minutes.

  • Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  • Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.

  • Stir in ¾ cup M&Ms and optional chocolate chips.

  • Pour into pan and smooth top. Sprinkle with remaining M&Ms.

  • Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

  • Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use holiday-themed M&Ms for a seasonal twist. Add peanut butter or chopped nuts for variation. Store in an airtight container for 4–5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
