Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8 pan with parchment.

  • Melt butter and chocolate until smooth. Let cool.

  • Whisk eggs, sugars, and vanilla until thick and pale.

  • Mix in chocolate mixture.

  • Sift in cocoa, flour, and salt. Fold just until combined.

  • Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes.

  • Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Chill before cutting for sharp edges.

  • Add espresso powder for mocha flavor.
