1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8 pan with parchment.
Melt butter and chocolate until smooth. Let cool.
Whisk eggs, sugars, and vanilla until thick and pale.
Mix in chocolate mixture.
Sift in cocoa, flour, and salt. Fold just until combined.
Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes.
Cool before slicing and serving.
Chill before cutting for sharp edges.
