Ingredients

2 pounds beef chuck, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Pat beef dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear beef in batches until browned.
  • Transfer beef to slow cooker.
  • Melt butter in the skillet and cook garlic briefly.
  • Add broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce; stir well.
  • Pour mixture over beef and add thyme.
  • Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  • Adjust sauce consistency if needed and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Searing adds deeper flavor but can be skipped if needed. Adjust butter for a lighter version. Add vegetables for variety.
