3 ripe pears halved and cored
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon orange zest optional
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare baking dish.
Arrange pear halves cut side up.
Brush with honey, butter, and cinnamon mixture.
Roast 25 to 30 minutes until tender.
Simmer cranberries, sugar, and water until thickened.
Blend cranberry mixture if desired.
