This Heavenly Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle features layers of fudgy brownie, rich chocolate cheesecake mousse, and fluffy whipped cream — the perfect make-ahead dessert for chocolate lovers.
1 batch brownies (boxed or homemade), baked and cubed
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 oz melted semi-sweet or dark chocolate
1 ½ cups heavy cream, whipped
1 tub whipped topping (or additional whipped cream)
Optional: crushed cookies, chocolate shavings, berries
Bake brownies and let cool completely. Cut into small cubes.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa, and vanilla.
Mix in cooled melted chocolate.
Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks, then fold into the chocolate mixture to create mousse.
In a trifle dish, layer brownies, mousse, and whipped topping. Repeat.
