Tender honey-roasted pears paired with creamy mascarpone and a tangy cranberry drizzle make this elegant, no-fuss dessert a beautiful addition to any fall or winter table.

Ingredients

4 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup mascarpone cheese
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
¼ cup orange juice
2 tbsp sugar (for cranberry sauce)
Optional: chopped pistachios, mint, orange zest for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Halve and core pears. Place in baking dish, cut-side up.

  • Melt butter, mix with honey and vanilla, and drizzle over pears.

  • Roast for 25–30 minutes, basting occasionally, until tender and golden.

  • Simmer cranberries, orange juice, and sugar in a saucepan for 10–12 minutes. Mash or blend slightly, then strain if desired.

  • Mix mascarpone and powdered sugar until smooth.

  • Plate warm pears with mascarpone and cranberry drizzle. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears to maintain shape. Adjust cranberry sauce sweetness as needed. Serve warm for best texture.
