Ingredients

1 pound fresh carrots, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  • Peel and slice carrots; trim green beans and rinse.

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Sauté carrots for 5–6 minutes until tender but firm.

  • Add green beans and cook 4–5 minutes until bright and crisp-tender.

  • Drizzle honey over vegetables and stir gently.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional ingredients. Cook 2–3 minutes until glazed.
