These chewy, fudgy brookies combine the richness of a brownie with the soft, buttery texture of a chocolate chip cookie. The ultimate mash-up dessert for chocolate lovers!

Brownie Layer:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ⅓ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

Cookie Dough Layer:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar

  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1¼ cups (160g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup (130g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.

  • Mix brownie ingredients in one bowl and cookie dough in another.

  • Spread brownie batter evenly in pan.

  • Drop cookie dough over top and lightly press.

  • Bake 25–30 minutes until set around edges and slightly soft in center.

  • Cool completely before cutting.

Notes

  • Chill before slicing for clean bars.

  • Freeze up to 2 months.

  • Add nuts or flavored chips to customize.
