1 box strawberry cake mix plus ingredients listed on box
1 cup shredded sweetened coconut optional
8 ounces cream cheese softened
½ cup unsalted butter melted
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup white chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans optional
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease 9×13 pan.
Prepare strawberry cake batter according to package directions.
Sprinkle coconut in bottom of pan if using.
Pour cake batter evenly over coconut.
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Mix in powdered sugar until creamy.
Drop spoonfuls over batter and swirl gently.
Sprinkle white chocolate chips and pecans on top.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes until edges are set.
Cool before slicing and serving.
Center should remain slightly gooey.
Do not overmix cream cheese layer into batter.
