Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ( sticks) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Line and grease an 8×8 pan.

  • Whisk sugar and eggs for 1–2 minutes. Add vanilla and melted butter.

  • Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt. Fold until just combined.

  • Stir in chocolate chips if using.

  • Spread batter in pan and bake for 30–35 minutes.

  • Cool before slicing.
