Ingredients

Scale

2 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter for cooking

Instructions

  • Place mashed potatoes in a mixing bowl.

  • Add flour and salt and mix into a soft dough.

  • Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into a round disk.

  • Cut the disk into four triangular wedges.

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Cook farls for 4–5 minutes per side until golden.

  • Serve warm with butter or breakfast sides.

Notes

Use mashed potatoes that are not overly creamy to maintain the correct dough texture.
