Tender Yogurt Marinated Chicken made with garlic, lemon, olive oil, and warm spices for a juicy and flavorful main dish.

Ingredients

2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
1 cup plain full fat yogurt
3 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley or cilantro chopped optional

Instructions

  • Mix yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and spices.

  • Add chicken and coat thoroughly.

  • Cover and marinate at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.

  • Preheat grill or oven to 400°F.

  • Cook chicken until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • Rest 5 minutes before slicing and garnish with herbs.

Notes

Do not overmarinate beyond 24 hours. Pat off excess marinade before cooking for better browning.
